According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold rolled sheets totaled 37,331 mt in September 2019, down 12.5 percent from August but up 2.3 percent from September 2018 levels. By value, CRC exports totaled $41.6 million in September, compared to $47.3 million in the previous month and $41.7 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most CRC to Mexico in September with 19,148 mt, compared to 26,931 mt in August and 20,614 mt in September 2018. Other top destinations included Canada, with 17,176 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US CRC exports in September.
