According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of cold finished bar totaled 8,700 mt in November 2019, down 31.6 percent from October and down 26.7 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, cold finished bar imports totaled $12.1 million in November 2019, compared to $17.4 million in the previous month and $18.9 million in the same month last year.
The US imported the most cold finished bar from Germany in November, with 2,212 mt, compared to 2,595 mt in October and 2,329 mt in November 2018. Other top sources of imported cold finished bar in November include Canada, with 1,839 mt.
