US cold finished bar exports up 16.9 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold finished bar totaled 13,904 mt in June 2018, up 16.9 percent from May and up 30.0 percent from June 2017 levels. By value, cold finished bar exports totaled $31.9 million in June, compared to $24.8 million in the previous month and $22.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cold finished bar to Canada in June with 9,538 mt, compared to 6,011 mt in May and 6,371 mt in June 2017. Other destinations include Mexico, with 2,960 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cold finished bar exports in June.
