US cold finished bar exports down 6.8 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold finished bar totaled 8,170 mt in November 2018, down 6.8 percent from October and down 10.7 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, cold finished bar exports totaled $17.5 million in November, compared to $20.1 million in the previous month and $19.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cold finished bar to Canada in November with 3,832 mt, compared to 3,672 mt in October and 5,832 mt in November 2017. Other destinations included Mexico, with 3,518 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cold finished bar exports in November.
