Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending April 23, the US rotary rig count decreased by one to 438 rigs. The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 94, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by one to 343. The overall rig count is now down by 27 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by one to 55 rigs in the week ending April 23. The Canadian rig count is now up by 29 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
