Baker Hughes reported Friday that for the week ending March 1, the US rig count fell by four to 1,757, following a one-rig increase the week prior. During the past week, 1,333 rigs explored for oil, up four from last week while the gas-directed rig count dropped by 8 to 420.
Canada's rig count decreased by seven to 655, and compared to last year, the rig count is down by 26.
