Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 8, the US rotary rig count decreased by five to 817 rigs following an eight-rig decrease the week before. The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 130, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by seven to 684. The overall rig count is now down by 264 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by two to 140 rigs in the week ending November 8, following a five-rig decrease the week before. The Canadian rig count is now down by 56 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
