Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 30, the US rotary rig count decreased by two to 1,076 rigs following a three-rig decrease the week before. The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by five to 189 while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by two to 887. The overall rig count is now up by 147 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by five to 199 rigs in the week ending November 30, following a seven-rig increase the week before. The Canadian rig count is now down by 23 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
