United Pipe&Steel and Merfish merge to form largest pipe distributor in US

Houston, Texas, US-headquartered Merfish Pipe&Supply has announced its merger with US-based carbon steel standard pipe distributor United Pipe&Steel Corp. under Merfish Pipe Holdings (MPH).

Merfish is a distributor of carbon steel welded and seamless pipe as well as carbon steel fittings and flanges serving distributors across the United States through their five locations in Houston, New Jersey, Florida, S. California and N. California. UPS, on the other hand, distributes different pipe products from 12 locations strategically located throughout the US, according to the company statetement.

UPS CEO Greg Leidner will assume the role of CEO of MPH, while the current Merfish CEO Gerald Merfish has been named as chairman of MPH.
