Massachusetts-based United Pipe & Steel, a wholesale distributor of pipe products, has announced the opening of its 12th distribution center, in Stockton, California, which will provide products for the plumbing, heating, refrigeration, waterworks, PVF, HVAC, electrical, and other industry segments. It is the first distribution center for United Pipe & Steel in Northern California. The first California site is located in the southern region in the city of Rialto and opened in April 2015.
According to CEO Greg Leidner, “There continues to be tremendous demand for our business model, which gives wholesalers the ability to reduce their commodity exposure and lower their inventory levels.” The site allows for scheduled delivery routes to major metropolitan cities with the support of an internal truck fleet.
Other United Pipe & Steel distribution centers are located in Alabama, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Massachusetts.
