Union Partners acquires Lamination Specialties

Union Partners has announced its acquisition of Lamination Specialties Corporation (LSC) for an undisclosed sum. LSC operates three locations in Chicago, Illinois. Along with lamination capabilities, LSC operates a full service electrical steel service center.

The transaction includes 300,000 square feet of prime manufacturing space with state-of-the-art facilities, including over 40 high-speed stamping presses; four continuous roller-hearth annealing furnaces; precision slitting, cut-to-length and blanking equipment; and value-added offerings, including MITRE cores, distributed gap (DG) cores, and robotic welding capabilities.

LSC is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical steel lamination in North America serving the domestic and export markets.

Union Partners includes Mapes & Sprowl, Cortran, Lee Steel, Berg Steel, Chicago Steel, JIT Steel Service, JIT Steel Transport and Opus Metals.
