Unemployment in Turkey rises to 12.1 percent in August

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey remained unchanged year on year at 12.1 percent in August this year and rose by one percentage point when compared to July.

Meanwhile, in August this year the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 45.0 percent, decreasing by 0.1 percentage point compared to the same month of the previous year.
