Ukrainian pig iron exports increase in Jan-Sept, scrap exports down

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in January-September Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 18.7 percent year on year to 1.344 million mt.
 
In September alone, exports of pig iron from Ukraine increased by 21.8 percent compared to August, rising to 176,590 mt.
 
Also according to UGMK, in the first nine months of the current year Ukraine's scrap exports decreased by 37.1 percent year on year to 366,340 mt. In September alone, Ukraine's scrap exports declined by 6.7 percent compared to August, decreasing to 5,960 mt.
