Ukrainian flats imports increase in March

According to the data released by the Ukrainian State Customs Service, in March 2007 the import deliveries of flats to the country increased by 30 percent year on year to 70,600 metric tons.

Market players explain the increased import tendency in March by citing the scarcity of flats in the Ukrainian market. In March 2007, the Ukrainian domestic flats producers, trying to satisfy their export contracts, decreased their domestic deliveries significantly.
