The Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant (ZZF) will in December recommence operations at 10 of its furnaces, stationed in workshops No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4.

Accordingly, in ZZF's workshops No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 two furnaces each will be restarted, while four furnaces will be restarted in workshop No. 3. Production operations are to be commenced according to schedule.

In December ZZF plans to output about 6,818 mt of ferroalloy products, which is about 17 percent of the plant's average monthly volume.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, on November 1, 2008, ZZF, like most Ukrainian ferroalloy producers, completely suspended operations due to the weakening global economic situation and its impact on demand from steel and stainless steel customers in both the domestic and overseas markets.
