Ukraine’s scrap exports up 82 percent in Q1

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the first three months of the current year Ukraine's scrap exports increased by 82 percent year on year to 123,900 mt. In March alone, Ukraine's scrap exports rose by 25.2 percent compared to February, rising to 34,300 mt.

In the first three months of the current year, Ukraine's scrap imports decreased by 58.5 percent compared to January-March 2011, falling to 19,500 mt.
