Ukraine’s scrap exports up 54.3 percent in January-September

According to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in the January-September period this year Ukraine exported 1.81 million mt of scrap, up 54.3 percent compared to the January-September period last year, worth a total of $260.2 million, up 17 percent year on year.
 
The exports in terms of value mostly went to Turkey (79.61 percent) and Moldova (19.18 percent).
 
In the January-September period this year, Ukraine’s steel scrap imports declined by 92.6 percent to 1,957 mt, worth a total $2.18 million, down by 81.1 percent, both year on year.
 
The import in terms of value mostly came from Turkey (94.15 percent) and Moldova (3.52 percent).
