Ukraine’s scrap exports rise 77.9 percent in January-February

In the January-February period this year, Ukraine exported 17,782 mt of scrap, up 77.9 percent year on year, with a value of $3.65 million, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. The exports in terms of value mostly went to Turkey (92.97 percent), the Netherlands (2.54 percent) and Moldova (2.54 percent).

 

In the given period, Ukraine’s scrap imports increased by 63.2 percent to 6,755 mt compared to the same period of 2015. The imports in terms of value mostly came from Turkey (79.87 percent), Moldova (16.60 percent) and Russia (3.50 percent).
