Ukraine’s scrap exports rise 31.5 percent in 2015

According to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in 2015 Ukraine exported 1.21 million mt of scrap, up 31.5 percent compared to the previous year, worth a total of $290.3 million, up 0.2 percent year on year.
 
The exports in terms of value mostly went to Turkey (78.45 percent) and Moldova (19.27 percent).
 
In 2015, Ukraine’s steel scrap imports declined by 90.5 percent to 2,689 mt, worth a total of $2.79 million, down by 81.5 percent, both year on year.
 
The imports in terms of value mostly came from Turkey (93.56 percent) and Moldova (3.15 percent).
