Ukraine’s scrap and pig iron exports increase in H1

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the first six months of the current year Ukraine's scrap exports increased by 1.5 percent year on year to 315,840 mt. In June alone, Ukraine's scrap exports decreased by 17.8 percent compared to May, falling to 59,450 mt.

In addition, according to the same source, in January-June Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 15.9 percent year on year to 876,230 mt. In June alone, exports of pig iron from Ukraine decreased by 15.9 percent compared to May, dropping to 143,380 mt.
