Ukraine’s pig iron exports increase by 30 percent in August from July levels

In August this year, Ukraine's pig iron exports increased by about 30 percent compared to July, but went down by 34 percent compared to August 2009, to 119,580 mt, of which more than 60 percent were delivered to US. The value of Ukraine's pig iron export sales in August was up by 17.5 percent compared to July, increasing to $48.51 million.

In January-August this year, Ukraine's pig iron exports increased by 2.7 percent year on year to 985,880 mt, valued at $393.7 million.
