Ukraine’s pig iron exports down 13.9 percent in January-October

In January-October period this year, Ukraine exported 1.83 million mt of pig iron, down 13.9 percent, with a value of $572.03 million, up 26.8 percent, both compared to the same period of 2016, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

The US was the main importer of pig iron from Ukraine in the given period, followed by Italy and Turkey.

Meanwhile, in the same period, Ukraine imported 1.77 million mt of pig iron, up 9.6 percent year on year, worth $909 million. The main suppliers in the given period were Russia, Germany and Denmark.
