Ukraine’s metcoke exports in October 2004

Data recently released by the Ukrainian National Research and Information Center for monitoring of commodity markets show that Ukraine exported 185'000 tons of metallurgical coke (metcoke) in October 2004. The October exports, which were down 21% month on month, carried a trade value of $44 million. The average export price of metcoke dropped $4 from September to land at $241/mt in October. Ukraine exported most of its metcoke to Russia (20%), the USA (19%) and Romania (16%) in October 2004. During the first ten months of 2004, the country produced 18 million tons of metcoke, a 6% (1 million ton) year-on-year increase.
