Ukraine’s long steel exports decline by 11.2 percent in April

In the first four months of the current year, Ukrainian exports of long steel products decreased by 3.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2010, falling to 1.93794 million mt, worth a total of $1,426.52 million. In April alone, Ukraine's long steel product exports decreased by 0.6 percent compared to March to 470,620 mt, marking a decrease of 11.2 percent year on year, worth a total of $364.7 million.

In 2010, Ukraine increased its long steel exports by 17.3 percent year on year to 5.775 million mt.
