In the January-August period of the current year, Ukraine registered a 24.8 percent increase year on year in its flat steel imports to 568,370 mt, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers. In August alone, Ukraine's flat steel imports decreased by 6.8 percent compared to July, falling to 100,750 mt.
On the other hand, in the first eight months of the current year Ukraine's flat steel exports decreased by 11.2 percent year on year to 4.634 million mt. In August alone, Ukraine's flat steel exports increased by 5.3 percent compared to July, rising to 537,710 mt.
