In the January-October period of the current year, Ukraine exported $6.92 billion worth of ferrous metals, up 15.4 percent year on year, according to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. In October alone, revenues from ferrous metal exports amounted to $744.43 million.
In the January-October period, ferrous metals accounted for 19.66 percent of the total export revenues of the country, decreasing from 20.58 percent registered in the same period of the previous year.
In the first ten months of this year, Ukraine’s ferrous metal imports increased in value by 39.4 percent year on year to $940.15 million, while in October alone imported ferrous metals totaled $120.49 million.
