Ukraine’s DMZ resumes operations at rolling mills

Ukrainian billet, longs and rails producer Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMZ), a part of DCH Group, is proceeding with production resumption after the completion of maintenance works. The company has announced that it restarted production at its rolling Mills 500 and No.1 after its blast furnace No.1 was relaunched at the beginning of June.

As SteelOrbis reported previously, in September 2019 the company’s steelmaking and re-rolling operations were idled for maintenance works as a part of its investment program. As a result, in 2019 the company’s production of longs and sections totaled 449,000 mt, down 43 percent year on year.
