Ukraine’s DMKD to increase output in current year

Ukrainian steelmaker Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has stated that it plans to increase crude steel production in the current year by 10.9 percent compared to 2011, to 3.551 million mt. In the given year, its production of pig iron will rise by 4.47 percent to 3.229 million mt, while production of agglomerate will increase by 16.8 percent to 5.506 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
