Ukraine’s crude steel output down 27.3 percent in January-July

In the January-July period of the current year, Ukraine's crude steel output decreased by 27.3 percent to 13.11 million mt, its pig iron output fell 27.9 percent to 12.04 million mt and its finished steel production decreased by 27.3 percent to 11.48 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom.

In the same period, the country's metallurgical coke output declined by 35.9 percent year on year to 6.3 million mt, while steel pipe production decreased by 46.2 percent to 496,900 mt.

Meanwhile, in July alone, Ukraine produced 1.86 million mt of crude steel, 1.68 million mt of finished steel products, and 1.84 million mt of pig iron.
