Ukraine’s coal mining output up nine percent in 2011

According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, in 2011 Ukraine's coal mining output increased by 8.8 percent or 6.6 million mt year on year to 81.8 million mt. Also in 2011, the total volume of investment in Ukraine's coal mining industry increased by UAH 129 million ($16.1 million) compared to 2010, reaching UAH 1.687 billion ($210 million).
