Ukraine’s coal mining output up 5.3 percent in January-September

According to Ukraine's Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, in the January-September period of the current year Ukraine's coal mining output increased by 5.3 percent year on year to 48.1 million mt. In the given period, Ukraine’s thermal coal production increased by eight percent, while its coking coal output decreased by 0.7 percent, both year on year.
 
In September alone, Ukrainian companies produced 6.53 million mt of coal. In particular, in the given month thermal coal production increased by two percent, while coking coal output decreased by 13.5 percent, year on year.
