Ukraine-based ZZF’s ferroalloy output down 27.4 percent in Jan-May

In the January-May period this year, Ukraine-based ferroalloys plant Zaporozhye Ferroalloys Plant (ZZF) saw its ferroalloy output decline by 27.4 percent year on year to 81,730 mt. In particular, the company’s production of silicomanganese in the given period declined by 35.2 percent year on year to 37,600 mt, while its output of ferrosilicon went down by 34.2 percent year on year to 24,490 mt. The company’s output of ferromanganese remained robust in the January-May period amounting to 19,770 mt, rising by 25.7 percent year on year. In the given period, ZZF’s manganese metal production fell by 72.5 percent year on year to 870 mt, SteelOrbis has learned.
