Ukraine-based NZF’s ferroalloy output down one third in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period this year, Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NZF), the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer manufactured 82,870 mt of ferroalloys, down 33.7 percent year on year. In particular, in the given period its output of silicomanganese fell by 35.2 percent to 75,300 mt, while its production of ferromanganese declined by 43.7 percent to 3,530 mt, both year on year. Meanwhile, the output of other ferroalloys increased by 59.1 percent year on year to 4,040 mt, SteelOrbis understands.

In 2019, NZF had managed to increase its ferroalloys output by 8.3 percent year on year to 723,600 mt, including 659,470 mt of silicomanganese and 43,670 mt of ferromanganese.
