Ukrainian EAF-based steelmaker Electrostal has continued to increase its steel production, though at a slower rate.

In the January-May period this year, Electrostal's billet output totaled 38,000 mt, up 18.4 percent year on year. In May alone, the company's billet production amounted to 8,000 mt, up 14.3 percent month on month.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in the January-March period last year the facility had been idled due to deteriorating market conditions.
