Despite the billet output volume of Ukrainian EAF-based steelmaker Electrostal remained unchanged in 2020 at 84,000 mt compared to the previous year, the company’s performance remained weak. Moreover, in December the mill was idled, while in November it produced only 2,000 mt of billet.

In the January-March period of 2019 and in October of the same year, the facility had been also idled due to deteriorating market conditions, as SteelOrbis reported previously.
