In the January-May period this year, Dneprovsky Integrated Iron and Steel Works (DMK), one of the leading steel producing assets in Ukraine, saw its crude steel output decrease by 3.7 percent year on year to 1.075 million mt, according to its official statement. In the given period, the company’s pig iron production increased by 0.6 percent year on year to 1 million mt.
Meanwhile, the company’s output of finished steel products in the January-May period this year totaled 327,802 mt, up 4.5 percent year on year, SteelOrbis has learned.
