Ukraine may raise steel output in 2007

The Ukrainian Ministry of Industrial Policy has forecasted a 7.2 percent increase for the country's finished steel products output and a 2.7 percent increase for the country's crude steel output year on year in 2007. The respective target figures in metric tons stand as 37 million and 42 million. The Deputy Minister Vladimir Novytskiy said that the current year promises to be a good year for the Ukrainian steel sector judging by the January results.
