Ukraine issues production results for Jan-Feb

In the first two months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 1.4 percent decrease in its finished steel product output to 4.243 million mt, a 3.1 percent increase in its crude steel output to 5.446 million mt and a 2.4 percent rise in its pig iron production to 4.758 million mt, all year on year, according to the data issued by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers.
 
The country's production of metallurgical coke in the given period went down by eight percent year on year to 2.891 million mt.
 
In the January-February period this year, Ukraine produced 11.055 million mt of iron ore concentrate and 3.410 million mt of iron ore pellets - up two percent and down nine percent respectively compared to the same period last year.
 
In February alone, Ukraine produced  2.601 million mt of crude steel - down 8.6 percent, 2.043 million of finished steel products - down 7.1 percent, and 1.369 million mt of metallurgical coke - down 16.6 percent, all on month-on-month basis.
