Ukraine issues January-July steel export data

According to the data for the first seven months of 2010, Ukraine's exports of steel pipes decreased by 16.9 percent year on year to 651,910 mt, while its semi-finished steel product exports went up by one percent year on year to about 7.016 million mt.

Meanwhile, in January-July this year, the country's exports of flat rolled steel increased by 15.6 percent to about 3.858 million mt, and its exports of long steel went up by 23 percent to 3.319 million mt, both compared to the same period last year.

In addition, during the period in question, Ukraine registered an 11.2 percent increase in its pig iron exports to 866,300 mt, a 56.4 percent rise in its coke exports to 760,300 mt, a 42 percent growth in its iron ore exports to 18.591 million mt, and a 22.1 percent increase in its scrap exports to 429,670 mt, all compared to January-July 2009.
