In January-February this year, Ukraine's exports of ferroalloys registered an increase of 4.3 times to 209,630 mt compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the second month of 2010, the country's ferroalloy exports went up by 15.2 percent year on year to 112,240 mt.
Specifically, in February this year, Ukraine's ferrosilicomanganese exports increased by 16.1 percent to 71,980 mt, its ferromanganese exports went up by 42.9 percent to 20,430 mt, while its ferrosilicon exports rose by 3.6 percent to 10,190 mt, all compared to January.

Meanwhile, in the first two months of 2010, Ukraine imported 16,290 mt of ferroalloys - up 2.2 times compared to the same period last year, with its February imports decreasing by 52.2 percent month on month to 5,840 mt.
In particular, in February this year, the country's imports of ferrosilicomanganese decreased by 56.4 percent to 3,660 mt, its imports of ferromanganese went up by 5.37 percent to 1,960 mt, while its imports of ferrosilicon increased by ten percent to 220 mt, all compared to January.
Meanwhile, compared to February 2009, the country's February 2010 ferroalloy imports saw an increase of 9.2 percent, including a 41.9 percent increase in its ferrosilicomanganese imports, but an 18.7 and a 38.9 percent decrease respectively in its ferromanganese and ferrosilicon imports.
