Ukraine expects to supply 1 million tons of metal to EU
Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine A. Fedyaev has recently announced that Ukraine expects to supply not less than 1 million tons of metal products to the European Union (EU) both in 2005 and in 2006. Accordingly, the Ukrainian government is in negotiations with the EU to make an agreement that will allow Ukraine to export at least 1 million tons of metal products to the EU both in 2005 and in 2006. Ukraine exports around 24.5-25 million tons of metal products per annum. 32% of this volume covers semi finished products such as billets, slabs and 68% covers merchant bar stock.Ukraine expects to supply 1 million tons of metal to EU
