UGOK’s agglomerate output decreases in 2008

In 2008 Ukrainian iron ore and agglomerate producer Uzhniy GOK (UGOK) recorded a 28.3 percent decrease in its agglomerate production and a 13.8 percent fall in its iron ore output, to 3.680 million mt and 7.560 million mt respectively, compared to 2007.

In December, UGOK almost tripled its concentrate output, increasing it to 443,000 mt from 155,000 mt in November; however the company did not produce any agglomerate.

In 2008, UGOK's agglomerate deliveries to Ukrainian companies amounted to 3.595 million mt, 16.79 percent less than its supply target for the year, i.e. 4.320 million mt.
