UAE-based steel producer Conares has announced that it plans to increase its capacity utilization rate due to stronger local and export demand after the Ramadan holiday. The company has an annual production capacity of over 700,000 mt, including 500,000 mt of rebar, 200,000 mt of ERW pipe and 36,000 mt of galvanized pipes.

In September Conares will produce 30,000 mt of rebar, which is 10 percent higher than the August volume. The company's ERW black and galvanized pipe outputs will increase by 20 percent month on month, to 6,000 mt and 3,000 mt, respectively.

Conares stated that its order book for September rolling has been filled and that it will begin negotiations on October material in the first half of September.

Conares' exports account for over 15 percent of its total production and its main export destinations include the MENA region, the EU and the US.
