Turkish trade minister expects US to reduce Section 232 duty to 25%

Turkish trade minister Ruhsar Pekcan has said in a TV interview that she expects the US to remove the additional duty imposed within the scope of Section 232 on imports of Turkish steel.

Speaking on the Turkish television channel NTV, Ms. Pekcan said that Turkey has received positive signals and expects a positive outcome.

The US imposed 25 percent duty on steel imports from Turkey in March this year, while it increased the duty rate to 50 percent in August.
