Turkish PPGI imports up by 14.7 percent in January-October

In October  this year, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) imports decreased by 72.1 percent year on year to 869 mt, while the revenue from these imports declined by 58.9 percent year on year to $1.48 million, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).

In the first 10 months of the current year, Turkey's PPGI imports went up by 14.7 percent to 30,994 mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $37.4 million, up 13.7 percent, both year on year.

In the given period, China ranked first among Turkey's PPGI import sources, supplying 10,191 metric tons, up 122.8 percent year on year. China was followed by Italy and Belgium, with their PPGI exports to Turkey amounting to 5,231 metric tons and 4,017 metric tons respectively.
