Turkish motor vehicle output down 8.4 percent in January-October

In October this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 132,155 units, increasing by 0.7 percent year on year, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In the January-October period of the year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 1,189,539 units, down 8.4 percent year on year.

In October, passenger car output amounted to 93,575 units, rising by five percent, while commercial vehicle output totaled 38,580 units, down 8.3 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In the January-October period of the current year, passenger car output totaled 794,156 units, declining by 7.5 percent, and commercial vehicle production amounted to 395,383 units, decreasing by 10.1 percent, both compared to the same period of 2018.
