Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage slightly down in Oct from Sept

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in October this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 76.8 percent, falling 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous month and down 3.5 percentage points compared to October 2011.

Meanwhile, in October of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by one percentage points month on month to 71.9 percent, up slightly from 71.7 percent recorded in October 2011.

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 74.9 percent in October this year, indicating a slight increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to September and down from 77 percent in October 2011.
