Turkey’s rebar exports increase 4.1 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 569,054 metric tons, up 17 percent compared to December and increasing by 4.1 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $242.83 million, increasing by 18.2 percent compared to December and down 6.4 percent year on year.

In the given month, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 142,063 metric tons, down 5.48 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 87,370 metric tons and USA with 58,033 metric tons.
