In April this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 51.8 percent month on month to 31,125 mt, down 60.6 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $18.04 million, decreasing by 46.7 percent compared to March and down 62 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in January-April period of this year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 264,707 metric tons, up 20.4 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totalled $136.63 million, increasing by 0.7 percent compared same period of 2019.
In the first four months of this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 136,300 mt, up 4.98 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Belgium totalled 34,777 mt.
