According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 167.6 percent year on year to 128,494 metric tons, up 11.1 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $70.17 million, up 9.3 percent month on month and up 271.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the January-November period of 2017, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 36.75 percent to 1.19 million mt, while the revenue from these exports increased by 64.8 percent to $565.7 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 241,299 metric tons. Israel was followed by the US with 103,180 metric tons and Singapore with 92,115 metric tons.
